The homeless man shelters you and the gang fails to find you. They look at him and nod while he flips them off, before they run off looking for you. After the coast is clear, you get out. Wondering why they would acknowledge him respectfully. To which he said, he used to lead that Gang. So he has some credit with them after he long since retired. He made himself homeless by choice because he didn't care about the luxuries that came with it. The reason he flipped them off, though was because while they respect him, he has no respect for them. When he lead the gang, it was all about protecting the neighborhood from New York's worst. However as the years go by and new generations emerge, they seem more into wealth and reputation. Tainting what he built. He does know that they won't stop until you're dead, so he agrees to train you in hopes to survive. The training consists of Hand To Hand Combat and Intimidation skills as well as strategy and agility. All designed to turn you from a scared citizen to a force to be reckoned with.
